We are excited to announce an open call for workshops and training sessions proposals to be featured at MBSE 2025 (5-7Nov 2025, Vilnius). This multi-day event will bring together experts, practitioners, and enthusiasts for immersive training and collaborative work focused on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with a specific focus on the space domain.
We invite proposals that emphasize practical learning, hands-on interaction, group work and engaging discussions.
Session Types and Format
Timeslots are available either as 1 hour or 2.5-hour slots for individual sessions. Larger sessions can be proposed by combining multiple 2.5h slots (at most three).
We are seeking proposals for:
- Training Sessions: sessions focusing on MBSE tools, languages, and methodologies. Training sessions are intended to provide participants with skills and insights they can directly apply to their MBSE projects, focused on space mission development.
- Workshops: sessions (individually or in combined blocks) that encourage participant involvement and discussion. We encourage a broad interpretation of “workshop” and welcome the following formats:
- Collaborative Group Work: Structured group exercises focusing on MBSE topics, addressing practical problems or other common challenges.
- Tool Application Sessions: Practical, hands-on workshops where participants work on MBSE projects or problems using specific tools or methodologies.
- Hackathons: Time-boxed challenges on MBSE problems or tasks, which may include a pre-workshop preparation phase and/or follow-up work (e.g. a pitch presentation at the end of the last day).
- Roundtable Discussions: Facilitated discussions where participants can share perspectives, solutions, and insights on MBSE-related issues.
- Other: We welcome unique approaches to MBSE education and collaboration. Feel free to propose innovative formats that you believe will engage participants effectively.
All proposals need to have a clear link to the aerospace domain or explicitly address the issue of technology or experience spin-in from other high-tech engineering domains.
Commercial tool presentations may be proposed, however they will become part of a specific tool fair set-up and business-to-business match making event, including options to sponsor the workshop. Please use the contact address below if there are specific questions about commercial presentations.
For sharing individual work and novel research and application results, a specific call for posters will be issued early in 2025.
More details can be found in Q&A session slides.
Proposal Form, Submission Deadline and Contact
Please submit your proposals by March 15, 2025 (hard deadline) by filling in the proposal form. All proposals will be reviewed by the program committee, consisting of the organizing team and the MB4SE advisory group.
For questions regarding session formats or workshop ideas, feel free to reach out to [email protected]. We look forward to your creative ideas and contributions to make this event a dynamic and valuable experience for the MBSE space community!
